Smoking may increase snoring. It increases the congestion of the nasal passages and throat by smoke irritation which causes inflammation of the airway.  This inflammation or disruption may lead to vibration as air moves through, leading to snoring.

Studies have shown the risk of snoring increased by 2.3 times greater among current smokers. These studies have shown too that the more you smoke the more you snore.
